When Adam Sandler stepped up on stage to celebrate the 50th birthday spectacular of the US TV classic, Saturday Night Live, in February, no one could have expected the comedy legend to move the entire live audience to tears! All it took was one song and half a century’s worth of lyrical memories for Adam to make his latest viral moment — his live performance of his self-composed country tune amassing over 3.5 million views in just a matter of weeks.
The notorious noughties film star had first broken into the mainstream during his five-year SNL stint from 1990-1995. Alongside his innumerable skits on screen and in the writer’s room, Adam cemented his name in the Hollywood history books with hilarious music-driven sketches including “Lunch Lady Land” and “Kiddie Metal.”

After the great line, “50 years of cast members saying, ‘I think our cast is the greatest of all time,’” Adam tributes the half-century of stars who have crowned the SNL stage, including Eddie Murphy, Will Forte, and Phil Hartman.
