Breanna Nix Continues To See Success After Her American Idol Days

American Idol star Breanna Nix is once again putting her own spin on a Carrie Underwood hit.

Breanna Nix has been accomplishing big things since her time on Season 23 of American Idol.

Fans were first introduced to her during her memorable audition, where she impressed the judges by singing Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus, Take the Wheel” while her husband accompanied her on piano.

During her audition, judge Carrie Underwood held Breanna’s young son, Emerson, who fell asleep in her arms during the performance.

As the season went on, Breanna became a fan favorite. She won over even more viewers by performing several faith-based songs throughout the competition, like covers of “Something in the Water” and “In Jesus Name (God of Possible).”

She ended up finishing in third place in the competition, right behind runner-up John Foster and winner Jamal Roberts.

Following the show, each of the finalists released their debut singles. Breanna shared her song “Higher,” which quickly climbed to the #1 spot on the iTunes Country Songs chart. It also reached #2 on the iTunes All-Genre chart.

On top of all her other successes, Breanna saw another dream come true in June when she made her Grand Ole Opry debut. While on stage, she received two standing ovations from the crowd.

When she’s not on stage, Breanna has continued to share videos on social media of herself singing some of her favorite songs.

Not long ago, she melted fans’ hearts when she posted a clip of her singing a worship song with her husband and son.

And most recently, she created what felt like a full-circle moment by covering another Carrie Underwood song. This time, she sang Underwood’s 2005 hit “Wasted.”

In the video, Breanna is belting out the lyrics as they flash across the screen. Her husband is joining her once again by playing the piano.

Fans flooded the comments of the video, praising Breanna’s rendition of the song with messages such as:

“You are going to go and do amazing things, your voice is amazing and I have not found anyone that can sing like Carrie until I heard you sing.”

“God truly blessed you with a beautiful voice”

“CHILLS. I miss seeing/hearing you sing every week!”
