Kelly Clarkson’s Kids Steal the Show — And Then Her Ex-Husband Appears Below the Stage in a Moment No One Saw Coming

Kelly Clarkson delivered one of the sweetest moments of her Las Vegas residency when she brought her two children, River Rose (11) and Remington “Remi” Alexander (9), up on stage for a surprise family singalong of her hit song “Since U Been Gone.”

The performance took place on Saturday night, July 26, and quickly won the hearts of fans after it was shared on TikTok by an audience member who captured the entire adorable scene.

A Family Affair: Kelly Clarkson’s Kids Steal the Show

As Clarkson sang the opening lines, she invited her kids to join her, encouraging them with “Come on!” as they danced and sang along to every word. River Rose confidently grabbed the mic when her mom handed it over, singing the chorus like a natural. Meanwhile, little Remi bounced happily around the stage, showing no signs of stage fright.

Both children looked completely at home in the spotlight, much to the audience’s delight. Fans cheered as the trio delivered a fun and lighthearted rendition of the iconic breakup anthem.

Not Their First Rodeo

This wasn’t the first time Clarkson’s children appeared on stage during her Chemistry… An Intimate Night With Kelly Clarkson residency at Planet Hollywood’s Bakkt Theater in Las Vegas. Earlier this month, River Rose joined Kelly for a duet of “Heartbeat Song”, even wearing a matching outfit.

Clarkson, who has always been candid about balancing motherhood and career, seems to be embracing every chance to include her kids in her performances — and fans love it.

Kelly Clarkson Gets Personal With Fans in Vegas

While her kids are stealing hearts on stage, Clarkson is also using her residency to share raw and honest reflections about her personal life. During one show, she explained why she wasn’t performing her emotional ballad “Piece by Piece,” saying:

“People are asking, ‘Why aren’t you singing this in your set?’ and I was like… have you heard the lyrics?”

She went on to say that the song, written during a hopeful time in her life, carries different meaning for her now. Clarkson even admitted to changing the lyrics to reflect her own healing process after divorce, transforming the song into a powerful anthem of self-recovery.

Keeping It Real — Even With Wardrobe Malfunctions

In typical Kelly fashion, the show wasn’t all tears and introspection. The Grammy-winning artist had fans laughing when she joked about a wardrobe malfunction, saying:

“I have these like pasties things underneath. I am so hot … is this the change? You might all of a sudden see boobs!”

Whether she’s making the audience laugh, cry, or sing along, Clarkson continues to prove why she remains one of the most beloved voices in music today — and now, she’s letting her kids shine alongside her.
