Jelly Roll Reflects On Breaking Generational Curses During Recent Stadium Show
Jelly Roll and Post Malone have teamed up for the Big Ass Stadium Tour which will make stops at some of the nation’s largest venues between now and July. Rising star Sierra Ferrell joins them in the lineup for what is sure to be an incredible show.
Jelly Roll never misses an opportunity to share encouragement and gratitude, whether it be in his song lyrics or during awards show acceptance speeches.
The Tennessee native had a troubled youth, which found him in and out of jail as a teen and young adult. As he nears a full pardon for his past crimes, he does not shy away from his past and celebrates his journey as both an artist and an individual.
During the recent sold-out show at Dallas Cowboys Stadium, he took time during his set to thank his fans for the role they have played in changing his life. He said:
“We broke generational curses because you took three minutes out of your life and listened to our music. We broke generational curses because you took time out of your day to watch my wife’s TikTok or my wife’s podcast. We broke generational curses because you came here tonight and gave me a chance.”
Jelly Roll has been married to podcast host and social media personality Bunnie Xo since 2016. Together, the pair has become a modern-day country music power couple.
In addition to turning his life around morally, Jelly Roll had made great strides in his physical health. The 40-year-old shares regular updates on his weight loss journey in his typical transparent fashion. A large part of his motivation to get fit is to sustain the demands of his touring and performing schedule.
Once weighing 550lbs at his heaviest, he is now down nearly 200lbs!
Jelly Roll Shares Heartfelt Words Of Gratitude
Jelly Roll shared a vulnerable moment of appreciation in front of a crowd of nearly 80,000 in Dallas. He said:
“I say thank you, and I know it’s not enough. A thousand thank yous will never thank you enough. The way I’m going to try and thank you is I’m going to try and keep making real music for real people and real life y’all.”
