April Webster and Nathan Fishbourne became the youngest parents in the UK in 2010, after April became pregnant at just 13. Their story drew national attention, sparking debate, shock, and curiosity. Both families were devastated at first, but eventually rallied around the teenagers as they prepared to raise their son, Jamie. The baby’s early days were difficult—he was born via emergency C-section and needed surgery for a malformed oesophagus—but he eventually recovered and went home.

April shared a bedroom with her older sister, who helped with bottle feedings, while Nathan lived a few miles away with his parents.
