President Donald J. Trump has emphasized that criminals who bring violence and destruction to American communities will be found and prosecuted. His administration continues to highlight major law enforcement wins as proof of that commitment.
One of the latest arrests involves Francisco Javier Roman-Bardales, a senior MS-13 leader who was extradited from Mexico to the United States. He faces charges connected to drug distribution, extortion operations in both the U.S. and El Salvador, and for allegedly ordering violent attacks against civilians and rival gangs.
Roman-Bardales becomes the third fugitive from the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted” list captured since Trump took office. On January 30, 2025, Arnoldo Jimenez—wanted for first-degree murder—was arrested. Days earlier, on January 25, Donald Eugene Fields II was captured on suspicion of child rape and child sex trafficking.
The administration argues these arrests show its determination to protect the American public. Officials say they will continue supporting law enforcement, pursuing fugitives, and taking aggressive action to ensure the safety of communities across the nation.
