State of Mexico — On Wednesday, November 20, a multiple-vehicle collision occurred on the Mexico–Querétaro Highway, near kilometer 059+000 in the municipality of Huehuetoca, State of Mexico. The incident caused major disruption to traffic in the area.
According to preliminary reports, a trailer was unable to stop in time and crashed into several vehicles ahead of it. The force of the impact caused a chain reaction involving multiple cars traveling in the same direction.
Following the collision, the trailer ended up positioned across the roadway, completely blocking all three north–south traffic lanes. Authorities implemented a partial closure of the highway while emergency crews responded to the scene and worked to clear the vehicles.
