The couple operated a business that promoted eco-friendly burials and human composting services, presenting themselves as providers of sustainable alternatives. The investigation began in October 2023 after neighbors reported a strong, persistent odor coming from the property. When law enforcement arrived, they discovered improperly stored bodies, some dating back to 2019.
