Israel’s president has confirmed that developments are ongoing as tensions escalate rapidly. Multiple strikes have reportedly been launched from Iran in recent minutes, with Israeli officials indicating that coordinated responses from both Israel and the United States are under active consideration.
Authorities say nine people were killed and 28 injured after a ballistic missile struck the city of Beit Shemesh. Medical teams report that two of the wounded are in serious condition, two are in moderate condition, and 24 sustained lighter injuries. Emergency services remain at the scene.
Jerusalem District Police Chief Avshalom Peled stated that the missile directly hit a synagogue, which collapsed onto a public shelter beneath it. According to officials, most of the victims were inside the shelter at the time of impact.
