One widely shared home tip came from Facebook user Alicia Alexander, who said she managed to catch many earwigs in her backyard using a very simple method. She filled a shallow bowl with about half a cup of olive oil and placed it outside in the garden or on the deck.
According to her, the results appeared quickly. In less than 24 hours, the bowl had already trapped a large number of earwigs, and after 36 hours, even more had collected inside.
