Sheets became a fan favorite during his years on the show, earning the nickname “The Gambler” for his bold style at storage auctions. He appeared in 163 episodes after the series debuted in 2010 and was widely remembered for his humor, confidence, and ability to turn small bids into major profits.
In later years, his appearances became less frequent after he shared serious health problems, including a heart attack in 2019. After stepping away from the storage auction business, he moved to Arizona, where he ran his own antiques store.
Darrell Sheets was also a father of two, including his son Brandon Sheets, who also appeared on Storage Wars. In a statement, A&E said they were saddened by the loss of a beloved member of the Storage Wars family and shared condolences with his family and loved ones.
