HELP IDENTIFYING HER AND LOCATING HER

As she grew older, Shayla always knew the names of her birth parents and stayed quietly aware of them through Facebook. Over time, she followed her birth mother’s page, hoping one day it might help her reconnect with her biological family.

A few months ago, Shayla’s adoptive mother noticed someone on the page who looked a lot like Shayla. That discovery helped lead Shayla to her older sister Seleena, and then to her oldest sister Samantha, opening the door to long-lost family connections.

Through those reunions, Shayla was also finally able to find her birth father, a former Vietnamese boat refugee who had come to Canada alone. What began as quiet searching over the years became a meaningful family reconnection that had once seemed impossible.
