James Carville predicts Donald Trump will resign by this major holiday

James Carville isn’t just mocking Donald Trump; he’s putting a date on his downfall. On his podcast, the legendary strategist painted a picture of a president sleepwalking toward a political storm he doesn’t even see coming. In Carville’s view, Trump’s obsession with shielding himself from Democratic investigations, his boredom with governing, and his fragile public standing will collide in spectacular fashion.

According to Carville, the 2026 midterms will trigger a wave of subpoenas, revelations, and rejection so “massive” that Trump will simply choose escape over endurance. He imagines a president numbed by exhaustion, insulated by aides who hide bad news, and suddenly forced to confront a country turning away.

The White House’s furious response, branding Carville a deranged “loser,” only sharpened the contrast: one side predicting collapse, the other insisting Trump is untouchable. In the end, either Easter 2027 becomes just another date—or the day a presidency quietly breaks.
