A recent poll shows that former President Donald Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris in five of the seven key swing states that will decide the 2024 election.
A survey by AtlasIntel of probable voters in battleground states reveals Trump leading in Pennsylvania (51% to 48.1%) and Michigan (50.6% to 47.2%). In other undecided states—Arizona (49.8% to 48.6%), Georgia (49.6% to 49%), and Wisconsin (49.7% to 48.2%)—Trump holds a narrow edge. Harris leads in Nevada (50.5% to 47.7%) and North Carolina (50.5% to 48.1%).
AtlasIntel, which was considered the most reliable polling company in 2020, suggests that if Trump wins the five battleground states where he currently leads, he would secure 290 Electoral College votes, surpassing the 270 needed to win.
The poll, conducted from September 20-25, has a margin of error of 2-3 percentage points.
In response to the results, a Trump official criticized Harris, blaming her for rising inflation, border issues, and crime, calling her weak and incompetent.
If Trump wins two of Harris’s key states—Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan—Harris would need to win three other states to reach 270 Electoral College votes. Harris is also likely to win Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District, which Biden flipped in 2020.
If Trump wins North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Georgia, or takes four Sun Belt states (Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada), he could secure victory. Even flipping one of Wisconsin or Michigan could be enough.
Recent polling from organizations like Insider Advantage and the Trafalgar Group indicates Trump is in a strong position for a potential landslide win in the 2024 election.
