Fans of the Italian singer saw the musical genes on display when he and son Matteo sang a duet of his song “Time to Say Goodbye” during the 2024 Oscars’ “In Memoriam” segment. Well, Andrea’s 12-year-old daughter Virginia also has a beautiful singing voice, as folks witnessed when a video of the two started going viral on TikTok.
In the clip posted on May 31, social media users watched Andrea and Virginia sing a moving acoustic rendition of Jeff Buckley’s song “Hallelujah.” Seemingly taken from their November 2023 live performance on the U.K.’s 21st season of Strictly Come Dancing, folks saw Andrea perform on the guitar while Virginia sang out the iconic lyrics, leaving everyone speechless.
As the three-minute clip started making the rounds on TikTok, it didn’t take long for people to be stunned over the immense musical talent Andrea and Virginia possessed while singing together.
“Are you kidding me he only makes beautiful kids with beautiful voices. Bravaaaaaa ,” one person exclaimed in the comments. “Ok howwwww do they all have beautiful voices??? Is it hereditary?” another inquired. “As she’s singing in the beginning he gives her such a proud dad smile my heart melted,” a different follower added.
While it’s not common to hear Virginia sing alongside her famous dad, fans may not know Andrea has sung “Hallelujah” with her in the past.
Back in December 2020, the father-daughter duo performed the tune on location at the Teatro Regio di Parma in Italy, which was filmed and later posted on YouTube. The two have since sung the song together on multiple occasions, including while attending the White House Christmas party in 2021 and at the United Hatzalah Miami Gala in 2022.
Now, if only Virginia and Andrea made an album together!
