Touching video of Melania Trump speaking Serbo-Croatian with a wildfire victim that lost everything

First Lady Melania Trump visited families affected by the Los Angeles wildfires and spoke with a local woman in Serbo-Croatian, a language similar to her native Slovenian. Raised in Yugoslavia, Melania responded fluently when the woman greeted her with, “Good afternoon.”

The two shared a warm exchange, including a hug and a cheek kiss, before discussing the woman’s journey to America and her losses in the wildfire. Melania offered words of encouragement, asking, “You’ve lost everything?” but reassuring her, “It will get better.”

The woman later introduced the First Lady to her family, highlighting the personal connections Melania sought to make during her visit.

A lesser-known fact about Melania is her ability to speak six languages: English, French, German, Italian, Slovenian, and Serbian, showcasing her unique background as FLOTUS.
