Twins are rare, making up about 33 out of every 1,000 births, with identical twins even rarer. When 23-year-old Savannah Combs learned she was expecting twins, she was thrilled but soon discovered both had Down syndrome. Despite emotional challenges and advice to abort, she and her husband, Justin, chose to keep them.

Savannah shared her journey on TikTok, where her daughters, Kennadi Rue and Mckenli Ackerman, gained a following. Born prematurely at 29 weeks, the identical twin girls spent time in the NICU before coming home. Their condition, being mono-di twins with Down syndrome, is incredibly rare—about one in two million.

Savannah proudly celebrates their milestones online, despite facing criticism. She responded to negative comments, saying, “Good thing they weren’t born to you and were born to me,” highlighting the love and care they receive.

Through all the challenges, Savannah’s message is clear: her daughters are loved, strong, and will reach their potential, just like any other child.
