Melania studied architecture and design at the University of Ljubljana, but she left after only a year to move to Milan. At sixteen, Melania Knavs began modeling, primarily in Paris and Milan, where she found considerable success. Her work was published in magazines such as Sports Illustrated, Vanity Fair, Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar. Melania is also the first First Lady to be featured in a magazine photo in a nude state.
7. One of the tallest First Ladies
At 180 cm (5’11”), Melania is among the tallest First Ladies in American history. Michelle Obama and Eleanor Roosevelt share her title.
8. A Catholic Church First Lady
Melania is only the second Catholic First Lady in American history, after Jacqueline Kennedy.
9. Delayed White House Relocation
Unlike other First Ladies, Melania Trump did not move into the White House until five months after Donald Trump became office. Their son Barron had to finish the fifth grade in New York, which was the reason for this. Whether Donald Trump being elected to a second term as president is uncertain.
10. Cryptocurrency Initiatives
On the eve of Donald Trump’s inauguration in 2025, Melania unveiled her own cryptocurrency, the $Melania coin, following the introduction of the $Trump coin.
