He briefly met Charles, but reports suggest he wasn’t allowed to accompany him to Sandringham. Harry’s visit raised tensions, particularly with Camilla, who was upset by his unapproved arrival and private conversation with Charles.
Harry’s strained relationship with Camilla is well-documented. In his memoir Spare, he revealed that both he and William had opposed their father’s marriage to her, and he has accused her of leaking stories to the press to improve her image.
He also claimed she was seen as a “villain” in the media due to her role in Charles and Diana’s marriage breakdown.
