Sen. Ron Johnson, now leading the Senate’s Subcommittee on Investigations, has subpoenaed the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for documents related to vaccine safety and Dr. Fauci’s emails. This comes amid ongoing scrutiny of the government’s COVID-19 response and the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to HHS.
Johnson criticized the Biden administration for withholding key information, setting a deadline of February 18 for HHS to comply with the subpoena.
He has previously sent over 70 oversight letters, many of which were ignored or inadequately answered.
Johnson’s push for transparency reflects his broader effort to hold government agencies accountable. Additionally, attention has turned to Biden’s last-minute pardon of Fauci, seen by some as protection from future legal consequences.
