Ivana Pino Arellano, known as “La Rancherita de Chanco,” tragically died in a car accident on the M-80 road near Pelluhe, Chile, just one day after turning 32. She was pronounced dead at the scene, and her companion suffered serious injuries after the car flipped due to rainy conditions.
Photos of the accident show the car severely damaged, resting on its side against a wall, with an orange sheet covering it. Arellano, a rising country music star and mother of four, was celebrated for blending traditional Latin American sounds with modern music styles.
Her death was confirmed by the Municipality of Chanco, which shared a heartfelt message: “Ivana personified the spirit of public service with passion and love,” and noted that her legacy would live on despite her passing.
Arellano’s funeral was held at Curanipe Parish Cemetery on June 17, attended by family, friends, and fans. The Municipality of Chanco expressed gratitude, stating, “Thank you, Ivana, for providing us with days that are filled with light and happiness.”
