Haunting air traffic control audio from American Airlines plane crash reveals what was said right before it happened

At 21:00 local time, an American Airlines jet collided with a Black Hawk helicopter near the Potomac River, causing both to crash.

The jet carried 60 passengers and 4 crew members, with 19 bodies recovered so far, along with 3 from the helicopter.

Air traffic control audio revealed tense exchanges between controllers and pilots before the crash. Despite freezing temperatures and poor visibility, rescue teams continue their search.

DC Fire Chief John Donnelly confirmed no survivors have been found yet, and the NTSB is investigating the incident
