In a recent interview, Russian President Vladimir Putin praised former U.S. President Donald Trump, suggesting that his “character and stubbornness” could help restore order in Europe amid the Ukraine war.
Putin claimed that European countries, opposed to Trump’s leadership, might have interfered in the 2020 election, as they preferred Biden’s policies.
Trump, in turn, claimed the war wouldn’t have started under his presidency and hinted at a possible negotiated settlement.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Zelensky denied Trump’s claim that Ukraine had received $200 billion in U.S. aid, stating it was closer to $76 billion, primarily in military support.
