Aerosmith has postponed six dates from their farewell tour, “Peace Out: The Farewell Tour,” disappointing fans. Cities like Toronto and Chicago are now rescheduled for early 2024. The band reassured ticket holders that previously purchased tickets will be valid for the new dates.
The delay is due to Steven Tyler’s vocal cord injury. He shared on Instagram that his doctors have advised him not to sing for the next 30 days after sustaining the damage during a recent performance.
Originally set to wrap up on January 26 in Montreal, the tour will now finish later, with the next show scheduled for October 11. Given the band members’ ages, the physical demands of touring may be taking a toll; Tyler, for example, will turn 75 in March.
Fans are hopeful for Tyler’s swift recovery and are eagerly awaiting the band’s return. Tyler’s generosity was also highlighted in 2019 when he donated $500,000 to establish “Janie’s House,” a shelter for abused women, showing his philanthropic side.
The postponement has only increased anticipation for the band’s eventual comeback, while also emphasizing Tyler’s enduring influence both on stage and in his charitable efforts.
