Girl, 16, Found Dead In Starbucks Bathroom, Then Customers See What’s Beside Her Body

In August 2016, a 16-year-old girl named Gwynevere Staddon was found dead in a Starbucks bathroom, suspected of overdosing.

She was discovered unresponsive by an employee at the Port Moody Starbucks, and despite emergency efforts, she could not be revived. A small amount of drugs and paraphernalia were found with her.

Her mother, Veronica, believes the overdose was caused by fentanyl, though the official cause of death has not been determined. She shared her heartbreak on Facebook, calling Gwynevere her “best friend” and expressing her ongoing grief.

Veronica explained that Gwynevere had been struggling with substance abuse, but had recently told her mother she’d been clean for three weeks. However, Gwynevere relapsed, thinking it would be “one more time,” which tragically became her last.
