The acting head of the Justice Department, James McHenry, has dismissed over a dozen officials and career attorneys who worked with former special counsel Jack Smith on prosecuting President Donald Trump.
These prosecutors were involved in efforts to charge Trump ahead of his 2020 election victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.
McHenry justified the firings, stating that the attorneys could no longer be trusted to “faithfully implement the president’s agenda.”
Fox News Digital was the first to report on the decision, which has sparked significant attention.
