Maggie Mull shared on Instagram that her father, renowned actor and comedian, passed away at home after battling a long illness. She described his passing as following a “valiant fight” and expressed deep love for him.
Mull was known for his impressive talents across creative fields, particularly his work in advertising, including memorable Red Roof Inn ads. He had a sharp sense of humor, which many who knew him adored, including his wife, daughter, friends, colleagues, and even a large number of dogs.
Mull’s most famous roles included playing Leon Carp on Roseanne and Principal Willard Kraft on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. He also portrayed the private investigator Gene Parmesean on Arrested Development.
In 2016, Mull received an Emmy nomination for his role as Bob Bradley on Veep. He was also a talented writer, co-penning The History of White People in America with Fred Willard and contributing to the 1970s hit “A Girl Named Johnny Cash.”
