Describing the current state of the country as “a scary place,” Longoria cited the political climate, especially after Donald Trump’s presidency, as a factor in her decision. She expressed concern over the direction of the country, saying it made her reconsider her future.
Known for her activism, Longoria campaigned for Vice President Kamala Harris and worked to mobilize women and Latino communities during the 2020 election. Despite living abroad, she remains committed to the causes she supports, saying, “I would like to think our fight continues.”
