The co-hosts of “The View” expressed skepticism about the optics of a Democratic senator visiting Trump’s Florida residence. Ana Navarro likened the visits to “trekking down to Mecca to see the prophet,” expressing discomfort with the perceived deference shown to Trump.
During the interview, Fetterman also addressed concerns about his political alignment, affirming his commitment to the Democratic Party. He stated, “I would make a pretty terrible Republican,” highlighting his progressive stances on issues like abortion rights and LGBTQ+ rights.
The discussion became particularly heated when Fetterman suggested that Trump’s trial in New York City was “politically motivated.” This assertion puzzled co-host Sunny Hostin, who sought clarification on his stance.
