Oscar winner Gene Hackman and wife found dead in Santa Fe home

Gene Hackman, the legendary Hollywood actor, and his wife, classical pianist Betsy Arakawa, were found dead in their Santa Fe home on Wednesday. Authorities found no signs of foul play, and their dog was also discovered dead. The cause of death remains unknown.

The couple had been married for over 30 years. Hackman, 95, had retired from acting in the mid-2000s due to health concerns and focused on writing, painting, and fishing.

Hackman, with a 40-year career and two Academy Awards, was a respected figure in Hollywood. He is survived by three children from his first marriage.

The loss of Hackman and Arakawa is deeply felt, and our thoughts are with their family and loved ones.
