Senator Tina Smith strongly opposed Musk’s move, calling it “the ultimate d*ck boss move” and adding, “I bet a lot of people have had an experience like this with a bad boss.”
When Musk challenged her with, “What did you get done last week?” Smith fired back, “I hate to break it to you but you aren’t my boss. I answer to the people of Minnesota.” She emphasized her efforts to fight tax breaks for billionaires funded by healthcare cuts.
Musk defended his email as a “basic pulse check” that took only minutes to complete. He later claimed he was receiving “a large number of good responses” and suggested those who complied might be promoted.
