Nine-year-old Mishra impressed judge Heidi Klum with her powerful voice, earning the coveted Golden Buzzer on America’s Got Talent.

During the fifth qualifying round on July 2, nine-year-old Pranysqa Mishra from India lit up the America’s Got Talent stage with a powerful rendition of Tina Turner’s River Deep – Mountain High. As she reached the high notes, the audience erupted in applause, giving her a well-deserved standing ovation.
Supermodel and judge Heidi Klum was blown away by Mishra’s performance, admitting, “At first, I wasn’t expecting much from this act, but now I don’t even want Simon or Sofia to say anything. I just want to call this girl’s grandmother and let her know that Heidi Klum is pressing the Golden Buzzer for her granddaughter.” Earlier, Mishra had shared that if she advanced to the next round, her first call would be to her grandmother.

Heidi Klum wasted no time in pressing the Golden Buzzer, sending nine-year-old Pranysqa Mishra straight to the semifinals before the other judges could even comment. She then rushed to the stage to embrace Mishra, telling her she truly deserved the moment.
Although Simon Cowell didn’t voice his thoughts publicly, cameras caught him privately praising Mishra’s incredible singing talent in a conversation with actress Sofía Vergara.

When America’s Got Talent shared Pranysqa Mishra’s performance on social media, viewers were in awe of her confidence and vocal ability. One YouTube commenter predicted, “Imagine this singer 10 years from now—she’s going to be a superstar.” Another added, “It’s incredible that a nine-year-old can command the stage like that. She made Tina Turner proud.”
In her introduction, Mishra shared that she has loved singing since childhood and is inspired by legends like Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, and Whitney Houston. Encouraged by her family to follow her dreams, she has already gained experience performing, often singing the national anthem at major sporting events such as the NBA, NHL, and MBA.
America’s Got Talent, which airs on NBC, is judged by Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofía Vergara, and Simon Cowell, with comedian Terry Crews as the host. The show, currently in its 19th season, first premiered in 2006. This year’s winner will take home a $1 million prize.

Tina Turner (1939–2023) was an iconic American music legend, known for timeless hits like Proud Mary, The Best, and What’s Love Got to Do with It. Over her illustrious career, she earned 12 Grammy Awards across pop, rock, and R&B categories.
One of her most celebrated songs, River Deep – Mountain High, was co-written with her ex-husband, musician Ike Turner, in 1966. The track is widely regarded as one of the greatest songs of all time.
