Angelina Jordan’s performance on America’s Got Talent became an instant legend.

Angelina Jordan left everyone in awe with her rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody” on AGT: The Champions.
At Upworthy, we’ve featured many unforgettable America’s Got Talent auditions, from gravity-defying dance acts to mind-blowing magic tricks and heartfelt singer-songwriter stories. Now, we’re adding Angelina Jordan’s 2020 audition to that list because, simply put, it was phenomenal.
Having already won Norway’s Got Talent in 2014 at the age of just 7 with her stunning ability to channel Billie Holiday, Jordan returned to the stage for AGT: The Champions with a version of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” that no one had ever heard before.
With nothing but her Amy Winehouse-esque voice, a guitar, and a piano, Jordan transformed the beloved Queen anthem into a smooth, melancholic ballad that was absolutely captivating.
What makes it even more impressive? She was only 13 years old when she delivered this performance.

What this video doesn’t capture is Heidi Klum hitting the Golden Buzzer faster than you can say, “Nothing really matters to me.” The judges were left in awe by Jordan’s performance, and the viewers in the comments were equally impressed.
One commenter shared, “I’m typically not a fan of songs being redone to such an extent. They almost always fall short of the original. But to completely rearrange a song from a legend and then make you forget how the original even sounded because her version is so good is utterly amazing.”
“As Freddie once said, ‘Do whatever you want with my music as long as you don’t make it boring.’ I think he’d really like this,” shared another commenter.
Although Queen’s legendary lead vocalist Freddie Mercury is no longer with us, the band showed appreciation for Jordan’s performance, retweeting her audition video with the comment, “Wow! What a rendition of #BohemianRhapsody.”
“Bohemian Rhapsody” is such an iconic song that it’s difficult for anyone to do a cover of it justice. But 13-year-old Angelina Jordan managed to do so masterfully.
Jordan advanced to the Top 10 in “AGT: The Champions.” While she didn’t win the top prize, she continued to impress the audience with her rendition of another classic rock anthem, Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.” You can watch that performance below, and stay updated on Angelina Jordan, who is now 17 and still sharing her amazing voice on YouTube and TikTok.
