Angelina Jordan left everyone speechless with her rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

At Upworthy, we’ve shared countless unforgettable “America’s Got Talent” auditions, from gravity-defying dance routines to mind-blowing magic acts and moving singer-songwriter stories. Now, we’re adding Angelina Jordan’s audition from “AGT: The Champions” to the list because, simply put, it was incredible.

Jordan appeared on “AGT: The Champions” in 2020 as the winner of Norway’s Got Talent, a title she claimed at just 7 years old in 2014 with her remarkable ability to channel Billie Holiday. For her 2020 audition, she took on Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” delivering a rendition that no one had ever heard before.

With nothing but her Amy Winehouse-like voice, a guitar, and a piano, Jordan transformed the beloved Queen anthem into a smooth, melancholic ballad that captivates from start to finish.

And to think, Jordan was only 13 years old when she did this.

What this video doesn’t capture is Heidi Klum pressing the Golden Buzzer faster than you can say, “Nothing really matters to me.” The judges were left in awe by Jordan’s performance, and so were the people in the comments.

“That’s a ONE in A BILLION voice right there. Just amazing,” one commenter shared.

“I’m typically not a fan of songs being redone to such an extent,” said another. “They almost always fall short of the original. But to completely rearrange a song from a legend and then make you forget how the original even sounded because her rendition is so powerful is truly remarkable.”

“As Freddie once said, ‘Do whatever you want with my music as long as you don’t make it boring.’ I think he’d really like this,” remarked another fan.

Although Queen’s legendary lead vocalist Freddie Mercury is no longer with us, the band themselves expressed admiration for Jordan’s performance, retweeting her audition video with the comment, “Wow! What a rendition of #BohemianRhapsody.”

“Bohemian Rhapsody” is such an iconic song that it’s difficult for anyone to cover it in a way that does it justice. Yet, 13-year-old Angelina Jordan pulled it off brilliantly.

Jordan would go on to make it to the Top 10 in “AGT: The Champions,” and while she didn’t win the top prize, she wowed audiences with another classic rock performance of Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.” You can check out that performance below, and keep up with Angelina Jordan—now 17 and still singing with passion—on YouTube and TikTok.
