Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood were among the star-studded lineup at Loretta Lynn’s Friends: Hometown Rising Flood Relief Benefit Concert, all proceeds raised from the event will go directly to support United Way of Humphreys County.

During the concert, the husband and wife duo performed a medley of songs, and even threw in two classic country duets. Brooks and Yearwood covered Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty’s “After The Fire Is Gone” as well as George Jones and Tammy Wynette’s iconic duet, “Golden Ring.”

Before performing “After The Fire Is Gone,” Brooks and Yearwood sent their love to Humphreys County and launched into their performance paying homage to Lynn.

“We should kick off something to Loretta,” Brooks said before Yearwood added, “We love you Loretta!”

After performing two duets, the superstar couple move into their own songs, including performances of Brooks’ “Whiskey To Wine,” Yearwood’s “She’s In Love With The Boy” and then Brooks closed out the show with an epic performance of “Friends In Low Places.”

You can watch Brooks and Yearwood’s medley performance below at the 1:47:21 mark.

During the event Nicole Kidman signed a guitar that was donated and then auctioned off during the following commercial break, joining two autographed show posters that garnered $20,000 in a live auction earlier in the night. As bidding peaked at $36,000, the next artist due on stage made an early appearance to increase the leading bid, with seven-time CMA Entertainer of the Year Garth Brooks declaring, “let’s double it; $75,000!”

Total funds raised from the event are currently being tallied, with 100% of proceeds directly supporting United Way of Humphreys County and the citizens impacted by the devastating floods that rushed through the area on August 21, claiming the lives of 20 people and destroying hundreds of homes.

Keith Urban, BRELAND, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Reba McEntire, Brittney Spencer, Chris Janson, Little Big Town and more also appeared during the event.
