Alyvia Alyn Lind Is The Young Actress Who Played Dolly Parton In The Coat Of Many Colors Movies – Where Is She Now?

In December 2015, Dolly Parton released the Coat of Many Colors movie on NBC. The film tells the story of her childhood, and was inspired by her beloved song of the same title. The young actress who played Dolly Parton in the films was Alyvia Alyn Lind.

Dolly followed up by releasing a sequel the next year. That movie was called Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love.

Country singer Jennifer Nettles played Dolly’s mother Avie Lee, while Ricky Schroder played her father Robert Lee. But the star of both films was the actress who played young Dolly, Alyvia.

What Did Dolly Think Of Alyvia’s Performance?

Prior to starring in Coat of Many Colors, Alyvia had multiple roles in TV shows and movies. She was perhaps most well-known for playing Faith Newman on the soap opera The Young and the Restless. Alyvia started portraying Faith in 2011 and continued to play her through 2021.

Additionally, Alyvia had recurring roles on the TV shows Revenge, See Dad Run, and Transparent.

Alyvia was only eight years old when the first Coat of Many Colors movie was released. She made quite the impression on Dolly, who said:

“…here comes little Aly, and she just absolutely, just blew us away.” She continued, “She is an amazing little thing. She’s gonna make me look good as a child, I never was that cute.”

How Old Is Alyvia Alyn Lind Now? Is She Still Acting?

Alyvia celebrated her 17th birthday on July 27, 2024. She remains active as an actress and now has an even more extensive filmography.

Since Christmas of Many Colors premiered in 2016, Alyvia has starred in several movies and TV shows, including Overboard, Future Man, and Walk. Ride. Rodeo.

Most notably, she was cast as a main character in the horror series Chucky. She played Lexy Cross on the show from 2021 to 2024.

She’s since been cast in The Spiderwick Chronicles as a recurring character named Calliope.
