Scotty McCreery hit more than just the high notes—he hit the floor. While opening for Kane Brown, the country star took a hard tumble on stage, and his bandmates are making sure he never forgets it. In true backstage fashion, the jokes are flying faster than the music. Here’s how one unforgettable fall became the talk of the tour.

Just like Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, Scotty McCreery found his start thanks to American Idol. Seeming to follow in their footsteps, McCreery won season 10 of the hit show in 2011. Just the beginning, the country singer went on to release hit songs like “Five More Minutes” and “I Love You This Big.” And just last year, he crossed a major milestone when becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry. While a seasoned singer in country music, it appeared that McCreery still struggled when it came to staying on his feet during a performance.

Hitting the road with Kane Brown for The High Road Tour, McCreery jumped at the chance to be the opening act. During a recent concert, the singer moved around the stage, entertaining thousands of fans. But while dancing, McCreery accidentally lost his footing and fell on stage. Able to catch himself with one arm, it still wasn’t enough as he completely wiped out.

Scotty McCreery Prone To Falling On Stage

Quickly getting to his feet, McCreery continued to perform, only stating, “Who put that there?” Trying to move past the moment, the singer noted how his wrist hurt him after the tumble. But his band didn’t care that much as they found the moment hilarious.

One member said, “I’m the last person that had to go to the hospital from falling down, so when I saw Scotty do it, I was a little concerned. Glad he didn’t hurt himself, but it was just a little enjoyable.”

Even McCreery got in on the fun as he noted, “I haven’t done that in a minute.” The singer even lifted his wrist as he stood backstage.

Online, fans also took a moment to joke about the fall, writing, “I have watched this at least 5 times and laugh every time at Scotty’s “recovery” so funny!!” One comment pointed to how the singer fell in the past, “When you were on tour with Brad Paisley, you fell off the stage at Bethel Woods, NY. We were at that show!”

While able to entertain a crowd, McCreery might need to take some extra time to focus on his balance before hitting the stage in the future.
