With 28 Grammy Awards between them, Vince Gill and Amy Grant have conquered the music world—but according to Vince, the real star in the family is their youngest daughter, Corrina. At just 24, she’s breathing new life into the spotlight with her debut album, House On Another Street, released on Feb. 7. But it’s her hauntingly beautiful cover of a deep-cut Taylor Swift track that’s turning heads—and earning a nod from fellow Swifties. In a family full of legends, it looks like the next chapter has just begun.

Even with 28 Grammy Awards between power couple Vince Gill and Amy Grant, the “One More Last Chance” singer insists their youngest daughter, Corrina, is the most talented in the family. The singer-songwriter, 24, released her debut album, House On Another Street, on Feb. 7. And she recently showed her range with a beautiful Taylor Swift cover.

Social Media Praises “Stunning” Acoustic Taylor Swift Cover

While Taylor Swift has a well-earned reputation for never getting over anything, ever, “Right Where You Left Me” may be the most literal example of this. Released as a bonus track on the deluxe version of 2020’s surprise album Evermore, the song paints a heartbreaking picture of a young woman suspended in time following a failed romance. Did you ever hear about the girl who got frozen? Swift sings softly. She’s still 23 inside her fantasy / How it was supposed to be.

Ahead of her 24th birthday on March 12, Corrina Gill shared her own acoustic cover of “Right Where You Left Me.” “last week of being 23, so I had to sing this song,” she wrote.

From the first note, it’s abundantly clear that Corrina inherited the musical talents of her parents, Vince Gill and Amy Grant. “Oh my gawd this is stunning,” one Instagram user commented. Another added, “I want to keep hearing it again.”

As a certified Swiftie myself, I have to give Corrina’s rendition two thumbs up.

Aside for her obvious admiration for the “All Too Well” singer’s work, it’s not hard to detect Swift’s influence in Corrina’s own music. Teasing her single “Too Much” in 2023, she dedicated the song to “all the people out there who have even been told they’re too emotional.”

Why Vince Gill Loves Taylor Swift

A prolific and celebrated songwriter himself, Vince Gill has also professed his admiration for Taylor Swift. In a particularly memorable moment from 2013, the “nicest guy in Nashville” harshly admonished a fan who booed Swift’s name when Gill mentioned they’d been rehearsing their CMA performance of “Red.”

“I love Taylor.  Does she make me think of Loretta Lynn and Kitty Wells? Never. But that’s okay,” said the 18-time CMA Award winner in a later interview. “She has something that’s so compelling, people are drawn to it and you can’t deny that. That’s what makes it great.”

He never met her—but she sang his songs like they were made just for her. Eight-year-old Sarah Marsh started each day with Blake Shelton’s music and ended it the same way. She knew every lyric to “Austin,” “God Gave Me You,” and her favorite, “The Baby.” Her room was full of his posters. She even wore his T-shirt at her last school concert. She once told her mom, “His voice understands me.” Then came the tragedy no one expected. At her funeral, just when it seemed the heartbreak couldn’t go deeper, the doors opened—and in walked Blake. No spotlight, no crowd. Just him, a mic in hand, walking to her small white casket. And then, he sang “The Baby.” The room went silent. A neighbor later said, “It felt like the song came alive… just for her.” In that moment, it wasn’t about fame. It was one man saying goodbye to a little girl who loved his music with all her heart.
