An 8-year-old boy just stole the spotlight—and the internet can’t get enough. Crowds packed into Dollywood, eager to catch a glimpse of the one and only Dolly Parton during the park’s 40th season celebration. But while hundreds came to see a legend, it was one little fan who became the star of the show. With a reaction so priceless it stopped Dolly in her tracks, this moment is one for the history books.

Earlier this month, Dolly Parton made a special appearance at Dollywood to celebrate the amusement park’s 40th season.

Hundreds of people from all over gathered at Dollywood on March 14 to see Dolly Parton and be part of the park’s special 40th celebration.

However, out of all the attendees, one young boy caught the superstar’s attention with his response to seeing her in person, which has quickly become one of the most talked about moments of that day.

In a now-viral video, an 8-year-old boy is seen screaming and chanting in disbelief as Dolly Parton is driven through the streets of Dollywood in a carriage decorated with red and pink flowers.

The “Jolene” singer waves from the back seat to the massive crowd, who are taking photos and cheering her on. But the little boy’s excitement was so evident that Dolly herself couldn’t help but notice him.

Pointing right back at him, Dolly laughed and smiled at the young fan’s adorable reaction. Of course, this only made him more enthusiastic.

Not being able to contain his excitement, he grabbed his face with his mouth wide open, understandably in shock that THE Dolly Parton had just noticed him.

“Who was it?” the person recording the child asks.

“DOLLY!” he exclaims back.

People React To The Now-Viral Moment

After the moment was shared online by the little boy’s mom, it quickly gained attention. In just three days, the video has already accumulated 5.9 million views.

The comment section of the video is full of people saying that the boy’s reaction is exactly how they would feel seeing Dolly in real life.

“same buddy…… same,” one comment read.

“If Dolly Parton acknowledged my existence you best believe I’d be screaming too,” another wrote.

“Honestly everybody else underreacting,” said another.
