The Kelly Clarkson Show Celebrates Its 1000th Episode. Time flies, but nothing hits harder than watching your kids grow up right before your eyes. Kelly Clarkson found that out the emotional way when she was shown sweet throwback clips of her children visiting The Kelly Clarkson Show back in 2019. They were just five and three then—tiny voices, big smiles. But it was a clip of her son, Remy, belting out Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” that really pulled at her heartstrings. Six years later, those same little faces have grown taller, stronger—and they’ve helped her weather one of life’s toughest storms: divorce. For Kelly, it’s more than a video. It’s a reminder of love, resilience, and the family that carried her through.

The Kelly Clarkson Show Celebrates Its 1000th Episode

As Kelly Clarkson celebrated a huge milestone in her career, she took a moment to revisit some fond memories she made with her kids along the way.

Kelly shares two kids with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock: daughter River Rose (age ten) and son Remington “Remy” Alexander (age eight).

The kids were five and three, respectively, when their mom’s talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, kicked off its first season on NBC in 2019.

Now, six years later, The Kelly Clarkson Show recently celebrated a major milestone…its 1000th episode!

The accomplishment comes shortly after Kelly took a brief, unexplained absence from the show. A series of guest hosts led the program in her place after she stepped away in early March for undisclosed reasons.

ET reported that Kelly’s absence was due to a “sudden family emergency.” Kelly and her team never confirmed this report.

Kelly finally returned to The Kelly Clarkson Show for its March 18th episode. She didn’t address the reason for her absence, but fans were happy to have her back regardless.

Kelly Gets Emotional Watching Old Clips Of Her Children Visiting The Set Of Her Talk Show

Kelly returned just in time to celebrate The Kelly Clarkson Show‘s 1000th episode. To mark the milestone, her team compiled clips from some of her kids’ past visits to the set.

River and Remy have grown up a lot since the talk show debuted six years ago. Kelly got emotional as she watched the clips of them on set when they were younger.

One of the sweetest moments featured in the compilation was when River asked Aquaman star Jason Momoa if he knew Ariel from The Little Mermaid. That adorable conversation took place in an episode that aired in 2019.

Of course, the throwback compilation also featured a clip of Remy singing “My Way” for a special “Kellyoke” performance. The adorable video of Remy singing the Frank Sinatra classic in 2024 went viral and earned millions of views.

Tune in to the video below to watch Kelly react to that moment and other sweet throwbacks of her kids on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
