Scotty McCreery’s son, Avery, is already stealing hearts—and the spotlight! In a new viral video, the little one proves he’s got country music in his blood, delivering an adorable rendition of George Strait’s classic “The Chair.” Recorded in a studio, the clip captures their reflections in a pane of glass—McCreery at the mic, holding Avery as the toddler gives it his all. It’s a heartwarming father-son moment that has fans swooning!

Scotty Mccreery’s Son Steals The Show Singing George Strait

Scotty McCreery’s 2-year-old son, Avery, melts hearts as he sings a George Strait classic, proving country music runs in the family.

Scotty McCreery has never been shy about his love for George Strait. He’s the kind of fan who doesn’t just admire The King of Country—he builds his own career on that deep, traditional sound and even dedicates songs to him (Damn Strait, anyone?). So, it’s no surprise that his 2-and-a-half-year-old son, Avery, is already being raised on a steady diet of Strait classics.

But listening is one thing. Singing them? That’s next level.

A new video making the rounds shows that little Avery isn’t just hearing country music at home—he’s already trying to perform it. And the results? Absolutely adorable.

A Tiny Tribute to a Country Legend

In a heartwarming clip, Scotty McCreery and his young son can be heard paying tribute to Strait with a sweet rendition of “The Chair,” a classic from Strait’s 1985 album Something Special. The video, seemingly recorded in a studio, doesn’t show them directly. Instead, their reflections can be seen in a pane of glass—McCreery standing at a studio microphone, holding Avery in his arms as the toddler sings his little heart out.

Then comes the moment that seals the deal:

“Who sings that song?” McCreery asks.

Without skipping a beat, Avery confidently responds:

“George Strait.”

This kid already knows his country music legends at just two years old. Clearly, he’s being raised right.

Is Avery Destined for the Stage?

While it’s too early to say whether Avery will follow in his dad’s footsteps, he’s certainly off to a strong start. It’s not just this moment—Avery has been surrounded by music from the beginning.

He’s already made stage appearances with McCreery, much like country kids before him (think Waylon Jennings’ son Shooter or Hank Williams Jr. growing up in his father’s shadow). McCreery and his wife Gabi gifted him a toy drum kit for his second birthday last October, adding another instrument to his growing love for music.

Whether Avery was just having fun in the studio or McCreery was recording something is hard to say. Could there be a studio duet in the future? McCreery hasn’t said, but it wouldn’t be out of the question. Given how much country music loves a family moment, a future collaboration between father and son wouldn’t be shocking—especially since Avery already seems comfortable with a melody.

Keeping Traditional Country Alive

McCreery’s love for Strait runs deep. He’s one of the few younger country stars who fully embraces the neo-traditional sound, proving that country music’s classic roots still exist in today’s landscape. Whether it’s recording songs that honor Strait’s legacy or passing that appreciation down to the next generation, McCreery is doing his part to keep traditional country alive.

And now, it looks like Avery is getting an early start on that same mission.

For now, though, he’s having fun singing with his dad. But give it a few years, and don’t be surprised if the McCreery name ends up on another country chart—only this time, with Avery leading the way.
