Get ready to feel a lump in your throat—Conway Twitty’s son steps into the spotlight, delivering a soul-stirring tribute to his legendary father. With a voice that echoes the past and a striking resemblance that’ll make you do a double take, he doesn’t just honor his dad—he brings him back to life for a few unforgettable moments. And make no mistake—this man isn’t just riding on his father’s legacy. He’s got the talent to stand tall on his own.

Son of country music icon Conway Twitty, Michael Twitty has continued to keep his father’s legacy and talent alive in his resonating tunes that channeled the legend we know and love. Performing on Country’s Family Reunion, Michael resembled his father as he took to the stage in a blue button down and gave a remarkable performance of his father’s song “Who Do They Think He Was.”

Viewers watched in awe as the son of country music royalty shared his inherited gift, resurrecting his father’s talent through his incredible tribute. “Oh, I loved, ‘Love me tender’/ And how that boy could sing/ But when he died I wondered why/ Millions called him, ‘King’/ Tell me, who did they think/ Who did they think he was?” He passionately sang.

Michael earned his monstrous applause as he ended his chilling performance on a humble note. Similar to his son’s admiration with his performance, Twitty released the ballad on his 1991 album Even Now. Although it would be the last compilation the legend would release in his lifetime, it was a soaring success with his fans that clung to the last public piece of Twitty’s talent.
