Moving to New York City at 18 was a big change for me, especially coming from a small Southern town. I found myself at a subway ticket machine, completely lost and overwhelmed. His unexpected generosity moved me to tears and showed me the impact of small acts of kindness.

Years later, I ran out of gas on my way home from work and felt stranded. Fortunately, three people stopped to help me. One man returned with a full gas can, while an undercover police officer assisted in pushing my car to safety. Their kindness reminded me that even in tough situations, there are people willing to lend a hand, and I will always be grateful for their support.
