Bride & Groom Canceled Their Catering at the Last Minute – Then They Came Crashing Down to Earth

It was supposed to be just another high-stakes wedding catering job, but the day before the event turned into one of the most eye-opening experiences of my career. As the new manager of the catering company, I was determined to prove myself while handling a wedding for 150 guests featuring premium steak plates. Everything was going smoothly until I received a call from Camille, the bride-to-be, demanding a last-minute menu change to seafood.

Despite my attempts to explain the contract terms, Camille and her fiancé Blake were aggressive and entitled, threatening to sue if I didn’t comply. After they fired us, I made the decision to continue prepping the steaks, knowing that if they thought they could intimidate me, they were mistaken. We worked through the night, and by morning, I was ready for whatever they threw at me.

When Blake called, panicking about the food, I seized the opportunity to remind him of the contract and offered a new deal at a much higher rate. After some back-and-forth, he reluctantly agreed to the original steak menu. We arrived at the venue on time, but I had to confront Blake about his harassment of my staff, making it clear that any further threats would result in us walking away from the contract.

The wedding went off without a hitch, and three weeks later, Blake sued us for “predatory pricing” and “breach of contract.” However, with the evidence we presented, the judge ruled in our favor, even ordering Blake to cover our legal fees. When I shared the story with my boss Tom, he laughed, and I later discovered that Camille and Blake had divorced less than three years after their grand wedding. Sometimes, karma works exactly as it should.
