Kelly Clarkson couldn’t contain her excitement after witnessing country legends George Strait and Chris Stapleton perform live in New Jersey. The powerhouse vocalist took to social media to share her enthusiasm, calling it “the greatest night ever.” Clarkson, a longtime fan of both artists, was spotted singing along and soaking in every moment of the unforgettable show. Fans loved seeing her fangirl over two of country music’s biggest icons, proving that even superstars have their musical idols.

Kelly Clarkson never fails to hide her love for traditional country music, so it’s no surprise that when she attended George Strait’s headlining show East Rutherford, NJ over the weekend, she made sure to let fans know just how impressed she was by the entire evening.

Before Strait made his highly anticipated appearance on stage as the main act, Clarkson made sure to capture a photo of Little Big Town, who opened the show. She shared the raw concert snapshot to Instagram with a caption that found her gushing over the group’s performance.

She wrote, “@littlebigtown is killing it in Jersey tonight, y’all!! Looking forward to @chrisstapleton and the KING @georgestrait WHAT AN AMAZING LINE UP OF TALENT ❤️❤️❤️

Clarkson’s enthusiasm and high compliments continued when 10-time GRAMMY winner Chris Stapleton graced the crowd with his remarkable talent.

“@chrisstapleton this is the greatest show I will ever attend. You are crazy gifted and your whole band is incredible,” she boasted about the “White Horse” singer.

The big moment finally came when George Strait took the stage and undoubtedly captivated those in attendance, especially Kelly Clarkson. Once again, she found herself fangirling over the incredible talent standing before her and took to social media to update fans on how much fun she was having.

“@georgestrait y’all!! I love him so much! What a great night of music! ❤️❤️

Her final post of the night featured an image of Strait and Stapleton singing on stage together. The pair of country stars have made their duets a highlight of this current tour, treating fans to live renditions of songs like “Pancho and Lefty,” “You Don’t Know What You’re Missing,” and their upcoming release “Honky Tonk Hall of Fame” from Strait’s new album, Cowboys and Dreamers, set to drop on September 6.

Clarkson then summed up the entire show in her caption, describing it as “the greatest night ever!”

“Good God these vocals, the catalog of songs! What a blessing to get to experience this in person ❤️ thank you @georgestrait and @chrisstapleton”

This is not the first time Clarkson has witnessed George Strait live in concert, and it’s safe to say it won’t be her last. She expressed the same excitement over the country icon’s abilities back in 2021 after attending his show in Las Vegas with a few friends.

She made a post at the time saying, “Y’all, run, don’t walk to any George Strait show coming to a venue near you! He is still the #GOAT ❤️.”

In addition to supporting him on the road, Clarkson has honored Strait several times on The Kelly Clarkson Show by singing renditions of his classic tunes like “Carrying Your Love with Me” and “You Look So Good In Love.” She has also treated her live audience to covers of songs by Little Big Town and Chris Stapleton as part of the show’s “Kellyoke” segment.

The recent show at MetLife Stadium marked one of only 10 stadium concerts that George Strait is delivering this year. He kicked things off at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium on May 4 and will continue with stops in Salt Lake City, Utah; Detroit, Mich.; and Chicago, Ill.

It was also recently announced that this December, he will return to Las Vegas for the 37th installment of his longstanding Strait to Vegas show taking place at Allegiant Stadium.
