Rocco’s Little Chicago, a popular pizza spot in Tucson, has sparked significant online debate after displaying a marquee message that reads: “All law enforcement officials do not enter without a lawful search warrant.” Although the sign has been up for months, it recently gained traction on social media, leading to polarized reactions from the public.
Owner Rocco DiGrazia insists the sign is not anti-police but rather a statement about legal boundaries. He emphasizes that the restaurant has a long history of serving law enforcement, noting that his father was a Chicago police officer for 33 years. DiGrazia appreciates the presence of officers in his establishment, attributing his love for food to his father’s experiences with them.
The sign was posted in response to concerns about police entering private businesses without warrants. DiGrazia welcomes officers with proper documentation but wants to assert the rights of his patrons. This message aligns with those from local advocacy groups addressing increased immigration enforcement.
