I Invited My Son’s Ex-Wife to Thanksgiving Dinner — It Ended Tragically

Hoping to create a sweet moment for her grandchildren, Olivia invited her son’s ex-wife to Thanksgiving dinner. This enraged his new wife, who stormed out after Olivia declared, “She’s more family than you!”

An hour later, the police arrived, responding to an anonymous call about a family dispute and child safety concerns. They searched the house and took Olivia’s son to the station for questioning, ruining their Thanksgiving.

The police found no danger, and her son was released. Later, Olivia’s daughter-in-law admitted she made the call out of spite, feeling unwelcome in her own home.

“I just wanted my grandkids to enjoy time with their mom,” Olivia wrote. “Was I wrong?”
