A plane crash killed seven members of the gospel family, the Nelons, including Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber, son-in-law Nathan Kistler, family worker Melanie Hodges, and pilot Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa.
The sole survivor, Autumn Nelon Streetman, expressed her grief and gratitude for the support.
The family was traveling to Alaska for a Gaither Homecoming Cruise when the plane crashed in Wyoming. Despite emergency efforts, there were no survivors.
Inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2016, the Nelons were beloved for songs like “I Shall Not Be Moved” and “We Shall Wear a Robe and Crown.”
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash, which has deeply impacted the gospel music community.
