Family Pulls Out Camera For Proof Of What McDonald’s Put On All Of Their Sandwiches

McDonald’s Accused of Discriminatory Act by Muslim Family

In August 2017, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) accused a McDonald’s in Decatur, Alabama, of intentionally adding bacon to a Muslim family’s meal. The family, visiting from New York, ordered 14 sandwiches, and later discovered the bacon, which is strictly forbidden in Islam.

Family Claims Intentional Act of Bigotry

Khaula Hadeed of CAIR stated that the family immediately noticed the taste difference and believed it was not a mistake, especially on 14 sandwiches. She called the incident “an intentional act of religious and ethnic bigotry” and demanded an investigation. One family member reportedly vomited twice after eating the food.

Public Reaction and Debate

The incident sparked heated debate online. Some readers sympathized with the family, suggesting the bacon was added to offend them. Others, however, were skeptical, with some calling it a scam and speculating the family sought attention by targeting a McDonald’s in Alabama rather than New York.
