Elon Musk has reportedly purchased multiple properties in Austin, Texas, with plans to create a private family compound. Despite only one of his 11 children currently living there, Musk bought a $35 million estate, which includes a Tuscan-style mansion and a nearby house. The Tesla CEO has also acquired a third property close by. Musk’s secretive nature led him to have sellers sign nondisclosure agreements and offer up to 70% more than the homes’ market value. The compound is intended to house his children, including Shivon Zilis, who has three of Musk’s kids. However, Grimes, the mother of three others, and Justine, who has five of Musk’s children, are not residing there. Musk’s relationships with Zilis and Grimes have caused tension, especially after Zilis gave birth to twins in 2021, shortly before Grimes had a child.
